K.I.G to be closed down indefinitely on 30th NOV 2009

It is with great joy and pride that we announce the closure of www.kenyansingermany.com widely known as K.I.G  due to a major upgrade, this effect will take place on NOV 30th 2009.

Thanks to all the K.I.G members for making this happen.

As a people with common interests, we met on the site and made a proper use of our time, here we debated issues, we shared information, at times we argued and fought but plenty are the times when we joked along and laughed the hours lighting up our spirits to beat the odd frost of winter season or cool down the unbearable heat of the summer time.

Such values must not and will not be lost, however, we cannot be defiant of the reality that has seen events take a sudden twist, we do acknowledge that things have changed, people have changed, time has changed and so K.I.G must change. Although this website was a good idea, it did not serve as an obstacle to a better idea and that's exactly what has happened.

On the 1st of Dec 2009 Europe will wake up to the effects of the newly signed Lisbon treaty, its on the same day that K.I.G will expand to the same topography and start serving Kenyans in Europe under the banner of Kenyans.eu

Kenyans.eu is not yet open. The launch date will be 1st of JAN 2010 but the site will be in operation for testing and trial to everyone from 1st Dec 2009. However, Kenyans in Germany will get a privileged access from MON 23rd NOV 2009. Please visit the new site from MON, register your username and password, start posting on the Kenyans in Germany and show other Kenyans in Europe how we roll.

Kindly use this thread to voice your concerns as to what should happen to the current site or features which should be included in the new one.
